Lukashenko appoints Valery Ivanov head of Presidential Property Management Directorate
MINSK, Jul 8 - PrimePress. On July 8, 2021, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed Valery Ivanov head of Presidential Property Management Directorate, presidential press office reports. Ivanov previously headed the Belarusian Republican Union of Consumer Societies (Belcoopsoyuz).<br> <br> Lukashenko accepted the resignation of former Directorate head Viktor Sheiman in June 2021.<br> <br> The Presidential Property Management Directorate is engaged in commercial activities, being the largest operator in the non-residential real estate market. Directorate’s companies increased sales revenues in 2020 by 40% to Br2.6 billion ($1 billion at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus). The foreign trade surplus of the Directorate’s enterprises amounted to around $150 million in 2020.<br> <br> The Central Economic Department of the Presidential Property Management Directorate is on the EU sanctions list since December 17, 2020. The sanctions apply to all enterprises of the Presidential Property Management Directorate. End<br> <br>
