BUCE reports 80% increase in transactions with Russia’s business entities in Jan-Jun 2021 to $63m
MINSK, Jul 16 - PrimePress. The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) increased the amount of transactions with Russian business entities in January-June 2021 by 80% year on year to $63 million, BUCE press office reports.<br> <br> Butter, powdered milk and building materials are the most popular Belarusian products on the Russian market. The amount of transactions with them increased in January-June 2021 by 270% to $30.4 million. They accounted for nearly 90% of total exports. <br> <br> Ferrous rolled steel and coal topped the list of commodities imported from Russia (85%, $24.5 million, up 15% against January-June 2020).<br> <br> The largest volume of transactions in the first half of 2021–was recorded with business entities of the Leningrad Region ($28.6 million), Moscow Region ($7.2 million) and Smolensk Region ($5.5 million).<br> <br> The Leningrad Region buys large amounts of Belarusian cement and dairy products, and supplies coal to Belarus. The Novosibirsk Region is the leading buyer of Belarusian powdered milk, while the Ivanovo Region is the leading buyer of butter.<br> <br> The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange OJSC was established in 2004. The first auction took place on June 2, 2005. BUCE has accredited 26,254 companies, including brokers’ clients and 5,218 non-residents. End<br> <br>
