Belaruskali operating at maximum capacity since Aug 20

Belaruskali, one of the world’s largest potash producers, says that despite the strike announced by part of the company personnel, it has been operating at maximum capacity since August 20. Belaruskali assures that it has been honouring its contractual obligations to customers, Belaruskali said on its the official Telegram channel. </p> <p> </p> <p> Earlier some Belaruskali workers created a strike committee as a sign of disagreement with the outcomes of the Aug 9 presidential election, calling for an election re-run. They went on strike on August 17. At the same time, they failed to implement the plan to gradually stop the work of the enterprise completely; some technological processes were disrupted. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belaruskali says: “Since August 19, 2020, all mines and factories of Belaruskali have resumed their work and since August 20 they have been working at maximum capacity”. </p> <p> </p> <p> The company says potash production is expected to exceed 1 million tonnes in Aug 2020, which is about 3% higher than in August 2019. </p> <p> </p> <p> The state-owned potash maker Belaruskali is one of the world’s largest potash mineral fertiliser producers. The company operates on the basis of Starobinskoe potash deposit and includes four ore departments, auxiliary shops and service divisions. The company’s share in global potash exports exceeds 16%. The products are exported to more than 100 countries. Belaruskali exports its potash to more than 100 countries through Belarusian Potash Company. End </p>
