NBB provides banks with Br100m in credit auction
MINSK, Jul 14 - PrimePress. The National Bank of Belarus (NBB) provided banks on July 14, 2020 with 100 million Belarusian rubles ($38.966 million at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) in credit auction No.751 for a period of 180 days, the NBB reports on its official website.<br> <br> Seventeen bids from 13 banks for a total of Br659.1 million were accepted.<br> <br> The quoted interest rate was set at 10.5% per annum. <br> <br> As previously reported, the National Bank Board decided to supplement refinancing tools from January 2021 with monthly auctions for loans to support banks’ liquidity. The auctions are held at the announced interest rate, which is equal to the rate on permanently available operations to support the liquidity of the National Bank in the form of overnight loans plus 1 p.p.
