Belarus’ FinMin places Br137m and $747.7m worth of govt bonds in Jan-Jun 2021
MINSK, Jul 6 - PrimePress. The Ministry of Finance of Belarus says it placed on the country’s domestic market in January-June 2021 long-term bonds to the tune of Br137 million ($54 million) and $747.7 million.<br> <br> This includes registered bonds worth Br137 million and $717.2 million placed in January-June 2021, while bearer bonds - $30.5 million. The trading system of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) placed registered government bonds worth $26.3 million. <br> <br> According to the Finance Ministry, USD-denominated government bonds of the 271st issue are available to individuals and legal entities on the BCSE. As previously reported, the Finance Ministry announced an additional placement from January 11, 2021 in the amount of $34.438 million with a constant yield of 4.5% per annum. The face value of one bond is set at $1,000. The maturity period is 7.5 years.<br> <br> Bearer bonds denominated in U.S. dollars of AZ 7 issue ($75 million in total) are also available to individuals through subdivisions of Belarusbank and Belagroprombank since November 9, 2020 at 3.2% per annum for three years.
