Visa, Mastercard, IBA Group, BPS-Sberbank implement contactless fare collection project on Minsk Metro’s third line

Payment systems Visa and Mastercard, with the support of IBA Group, BPS-Sberbank and Minsk Metro have implemented a project to facilitate contactless fare payments at new stations of the third line of Minsk Metro: Kovalskaya Sloboda, Vokzalnaya, Ploshchad Frantishka Bogushevicha and Jubileynaya Ploshchad. </p> <p> </p> <p> BPS-Sberbank has made a statement to this effect in a press-release. </p> <p> </p> <p> Contactless cards with a contactless interface by international payment systems - Visa, Mastercard and BelKart - can be used for paying fare on the third line. In addition, a smartphone and other devices with NFC functionality can also be used for settlements. </p> <p> </p> <p> IBA Group has been developing software for over 25 years. IBA development centres employ over 2,600 people. IBA Group implements projects in more than 40 countries. </p> <p> </p> <p> BPS-Sberbank is one of the largest banks in Belarus in terms of asset value. The main shareholder of BPS-Sberbank is Russia’s Sberbank (98.43% of shares). End </p>
