US Embassy in Belarus suspends issuance of non-immigrant visas

The U.S. Embassy in Belarus is suspending registration of applications for non-immigrant visas in cases that are not emergencies until further notice, the embassy’s press-service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> If an application was previously registered, citizens are free to apply to the embassy with the appropriate documents. </p> <p> </p> <p> The embassy says that they will continue providing services to US citizens. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, the Belarusian authorities demanded to reduce the diplomatic, administrative and technical staff of the U.S. Embassy as a response to the move by the U.S. to resume on 3 June 2021 restrictive measures against nine Belarusian petrochemical enterprises.
