Ukraine launches anti-dumping probe against imports of thermal insulation materials from Belarus
<p> MINSK, Nov 26 - PrimePress. The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade of Ukraine has launched an anti-dumping investigation into imports thermal insulation materials (slag, mineral silicate wool and similar types of mineral wool, except for their mixtures) originating from Belarus and Russia. </p> <p> </p> <p> The anti-dumping investigation was initiated on the complaint of Ukrainian manufacturer OBIO LLC (Zhitomir) and based on reports and conclusions of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the commission, the results of the complaint revealed sufficiently substantiated evidence that the import of Belarusian and Russian thermal insulating materials to Ukraine could be carried out at dumping prices. At the same time, the dumping margin cannot be considered minimal and import volumes cannot be considered insignificant, which is detrimental to Ukraine’s domestic producers. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Belarus, thermal insulation materials are produced by OAO Gomelstroymaterialy, OAO Neman Glass Factory (Grodno Oblast), OAO Belteploizolyatsiya (Minsk), OAO Technonikol Roofing Plant (Osipovichi, Mogilev Oblast) and OOO BelMineralGroup (Brest Oblast), and some other companies.
