The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) with heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) in attendance, will be held on May 21 in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan), a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) - on April 30, 2021 in Kazan (Russia). This was announced by Assistant Chairwoman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina at a briefing on March 17. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Malkina, the EEC meeting is expected to consider among other things “the issues of functioning of the single market for services, a report on the state of competition in cross-border markets, trade and economic cooperation with the main partners of the union”. </p> <p> </p> <p> At the same time the Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Nur-Sultan. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Malkina, the agenda of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will include “a strategic document in the EEU industrial policy - the main directions of industrial cooperation until 2025, a roadmap to ensure the free movement of organic agricultural products in the EEU”.
