Russian gas price for Belarus not to noticeably change in 2021 – Energy Ministry
<p> MINSK, Dec 28, - PrimePress. The price of Russian gas for Belarus will remain virtually unchanged in 2021 as agree upon by the government of Belarus and Russian Gazprom PJSC. It will almost equal the price set for 2020, the Energy Ministry of Belarus said on December 24, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Gazprom head Alexei Miller and Energy Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich signed on December 24, 2020 a protocol on the gas pricing procedure for Belarus in 2021. Gazprom does not specify the 2021 price for Belarus yet. Belarus pays $127 per 1,000 cubic meters of Russian gas in 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> The price set for 2021 is almost equal to that for 2020, yet significantly lower than the price calculated by the formula stipulated by the intergovernmental gas price agreement of 2011, the Belarusian Energy Ministry writes on its Telegram channel.
