Promagroleasing to earmark Br83m to buy MTZ machinery for Belarus farmers by late 2021

Promagroleasing will allocate Br83 million ($33.14m at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) by the end of 2021 to facilitate the purchase of machinery produced by Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) for Belarusian agricultural producers - about 400-500 vehicles, </p> <p> </p> <p> The tractor maker’s official telegram channel has posted a statement to this effect with reference to Tractor.bel’s interview with Andrey Matalytsky, CEO of BELARUS Trading House (an MTZ branch). </p> <p> </p> <p> At the moment Brest Oblast has announced an intention to purchase about fifty Model 3522 tractors by the end of 2021, there is an order from Vitebsk Oblast. Gomel Oblast is to purchase 20 BELARUS tractors to encourage the best machine operators during the regional harvest holiday Dazhynki. </p> <p> </p> <p> As of 1 October 2021, the cost of tractors on the domestic market will increase by 10% due to the rise in prices of metal, materials and components, said Matalytsky. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTZ was founded in 1946 and transformed into an open joint-stock company with a 100% state stake in January 2014. It manufactures tractors with a power range from 20 to 355 hp. </p> <p> </p> <p> Established in 2001, OAO Promagroleasing was given a status of Belarus’ national leasing operator in 2009. OAO Promagroleasing has a shareholding structure that includes Belarus’ State Property Management Committee, Belarus’ export import insurance company Beleximgarant, Belarus’ national reinsurance company and OAO Belgaroprombank.
