Price of Russia’s gas for Belarus up 1.2% to $128.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2021

The price of the Russian natural gas for Belarus rose by 1.2% to $128.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2021, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told Russia-1 TV channel. </p> <p> </p> <p> “I think this price could be more fair, so to speak, considering our relationship,” said Lukashenko. </p> <p> </p> <p> He said he had not discussed the price with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and was not going to. “If you have decided so, so be it,” Lukashenko said. </p> <p> </p> <p> Russian gas monopolist Gazprom said on December 24, 2020 that company President Alexei Miller and Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich signed a protocol on gas pricing for 2021. Gazprom did not specify the 2021 price of gas for Belarus, and neither did the Belarusian Energy Ministry. The gas price for Belarus in 2020 was set at $127 per 1,000 cubic meters.
