The president’s authority to change the boundaries of free economic areas (FEA) may be transferred to the government, in accordance with the bill “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Free Economic Areas," which passed its first reading at the lower chamber of Belarus’ parliament on 9 November 2021, the press service of the chamber said. </p> <p> </p> <p> In particular, the bill says that the initiative to change FEA borders can be taken by regional (Minsk City) executive committees and FEA administrations.
