The number of bank payment cards issued in Belarus decreased by 1.35% year to date in H1 2021 to 15.278 million as of 1 July 2021, the National Bank of Belarus (NBB) reports on its website. </p> <p> </p> <p> The number of BelKart cards was down 27% to 1.706 million in H1 2021; BelKart/Maestro – down 1.17% to 1.88 million; VISA – up 7.46% to 5.993 million; MasterCard – up 0.49% to 5.696 million; Union Pay – up 3.12% to 3,300 as of 1 July 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> The number of trade (service) outlets equipped with payment terminals decreased by 0.55% to 124,270 in H1 2021; the number of POS terminals– by 2.1% to 165,407. </p> <p> </p> <p> The number of payment terminals at cash points decreased by 2.54% to 4,345 in H1 2021; the number of ATMs – by 1% to 4,345; self-service terminals – by 6.05% to 2,656. </p> <p> </p> <p> The number of transactions with bank cards in Belarus increased by 13.15% to 1.121 billion in H1 2021; the amount of transactions – by 16.73% to Br47.86 billion ($19 billion at the rate of National Bank of Belarus). </p> <p> </p> <p> The share of non-cash transactions made up 91.4% by number and 63.6% in value in H1 2021.
