MTZ to ship 219 BELARUS tractors to Sudan via new logistic scheme

Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) plans to supply 219 BELARUS tractors to Sudan by late October 2021, Telegram channel BelarusTractors_official reported. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Early this summer, the factory signed a major contract with a Sudanese dealer to ship 204 BELARUS-800 tented tractors. But after additional negotiations, the Sudanese partner also decided to introduce a new model for their market – the BELARUS-92. As a result, 219 units of machinery are to be sent to Sudan”, says the report. </p> <p> </p> <p> The delivery is planned to be completed by the end of October 2021 under the new logistics scheme, which enables to reduce the cost of freight. In particular, the equipment will be delivered on an ocean-going vessel not in containers, but Ro-ro - in the hold, explains BelarusTractors_official. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, since 2003, MTZ has been cooperating on the Sudanese market under an exclusive agency agreement with MIG Agricultural Co. Ltd. During this time the partner has shipped 2,520 BELARUS tractors. In 2020, MTZ delivered 510 BELARUS tractors to Sudan (in 2019 - 153). </p> <p> </p> <p> MTZ was founded in 1946 and transformed into an open joint-stock company with a 100% state stake in January 2014. It manufactures tractors with a power range from 20 to 355 hp. End </p>
