MTS Belarus makes it possible to connect TWIN cards to unlimited tariffs

Belarus’ telecom operator MTS says it has made it possible to connect TWIN cards to subscribers of unlimited tariff plans, the operator's press service has reported. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Now the use of two SIM cards with one subscriber number has become available on all tariffs of the operator, except for "Business Unlim 2.0" offer… The service is provided for Br4.5 ($1.8 at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per month,” reads the statement. </p> <p> </p> <p> The TWIN-card allows a subscriber to use one subscriber number on two SIM-cards at once. Both SIM-cards can be active in MTS network at the same time. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTS was registered in Belarus on April 4, 2002. The operator is a joint venture between Russia’s largest mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) and Belarus’ Beltelecom operator. The companies hold respective stakes of 49% and 51% in the joint venture. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTS Belarus started providing GSM 900/1800 standard services on June 27, 2002; launched 3G revenue service in May 2010 and 4G revenue service in December 2015. The operator’s subscriber base totals 5.7 million. End </p>
