Mozyr refinery launches H-Oil facility’s hydrogen plant

The Mozyr NPZ oil refinery has commissioned a hydrogen plant, which is part of the large-scale project to build a $1.2bn H-oil cracking facility, Belneftekhim CEO Andrey Rybakov told the corporate journal. </p> <p> </p> <p> The H-oil project design is based on the technology licensed by France’s Axens. </p> <p> </p> <p> The launch of the H-oil facility was originally scheduled for Nov 7, 2019. It is a key project in the Mozyr-based oil refinery’s upgrade programme. The project will enable Mozyr NPZ to push the oil conversion ratio to 90% from 84% at the moment. </p> <p> </p> <p> The refinery was established in 1975 and transformed into a joint-stock company in 1994, with a 42.7568% stake currently owned by the state.
