Minsk City Administration bans shops, cafes from serving unmasked visitors

Retailers and providers of public food catering services in Minsk should not serve customers who refrain from wearing face masks, says Nina Yemelyanova, head of the Trade and Services Department of Minsk City Executive Committee. </p> <p> </p> <p> After Minsk City made it mandatory to wear face masks in all public places, all facilities controlled by Minsk City Administration were notified that visitors should be informed about the necessity to wear masks. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the sanitary rules intended to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, business entities must comply with comprehensive plans approved by the executive authorities. A failure to comply with the sanitary rules will result in an administrative penalty. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, face masks must be worn in all public places in Minsk starting November 12. The new sanitary rules provide that cafes and restaurants must take a technological break for at least an hour to disinfect the premises and equipment during the working day.
