MART forecast: Belarus to see 4% increase in tariffs for all kinds of communications in 2021
<p> MINSK, Apr 7 - PrimePress. The growth of tariffs for all types of communications (cellular, Internet, telecommunications and postal services) will total 4% in 2021, according to the forecast posted on the website of Belarus’ Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART). </p> <p> </p> <p> The planned increase in tariffs should take place in the fourth quarter of 2021 and will compensate for the growth of costs to a level not exceeding the projected base inflation. </p> <p> </p> <p> The forecast reflects the size and timing of the increase in regulated prices (tariffs) for goods and services, which account for the largest share of consumer expenditures of private households. The main principle for changing regulated prices (tariffs) is to limit their growth within the limits of the free price forecast (core inflation). Increases in certain regulated prices and tariffs are forecast in different amounts in connection with the excise policy and the need to compensate for increases in costs. End </p> <p> </p>
