Lukashenko wants of tax collection intensified, self-employed businessmen’s activities regularized
<p> MINSK, Jan 21 - PrimePress. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko demanded that the government should toughen tax collection and regularize the activities of self-employed entrepreneurs. He said this at a meeting with the government on January 21, the president's press service reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> Lukashenko instructed to conduct an audit of farm tourism, where there are significant benefits and tax breaks for entrepreneurs. Lukashenko frowns at the fact that tourist farm owners follow the same path as self-employed entrepreneurs: offer a wide range of services, generate profits, pay money to their employees under the table and avoid paying taxes. </p> <p> According to Lukashenko, “an individual entrepreneur should be someone who works in very important spheres for us: let us say, creative work, arts and crafts. This is why it should be made clear which spheres these people should be employed in, because people pay practically no taxes there. And let the others pay taxes. That is, we need to sort things out, put things in order - just as I said at the end of last year”. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The capital challenge for everyone here is to introduce the toughest measures for violating tax laws. Bring in the American laws that are in place in the United States of America. Their taxation is strictly regulated, and their courts give crazy jail terms for tax evasion.
