Lukashenko’s authorized representatives have powers to participate in management of 103 system-relevant enterprises
<p> MINSK, Feb 18 - PrimePress. The government of Belarus has defined the list of 103 system-relevant and strategic business entities, whose shareholders meetings may be attended by authorized representatives of the president of Belarus. This decision is fixed by government resolution #90 of February 16, 2021, published on the National Legal Internet Portal on February 18. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, presidential ordinance #444 of 26 November 2020 gave President Lukashenko’s authorized representatives additional rights, including the right to attend the meetings of the management bodies of system-relevant enterprises, make proposals on issues under consideration at these meetings, assess the activities of these organizations based on analysis of their work. The government is responsible for determining the list of such entities. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Resolution #90, there are 16 system-relevant economic entities in Brest Oblast, including Brestgazoapparat and Zhabinka Sugar Factory; Vitebsk Oblast - 15 companies, including Verhnedvinsk Butter And Cheese Plant, Vitebsk Carpets, Naftan Oil Refinery. </p> <p> </p> <p> The list includes 11 enterprises of Gomel Oblast, in particular, Mozyr Oil Refinery, Gomel Chemical Plant, Gomel Glass, Gomeltransneft Druzhba, Gomselmash, Svetlogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill, Mozyrsol, Belarusian Steel Works - Managing Company of Belarusian Metallurgical Company. </p> <p> </p> <p> In Grodno Oblast there are 13 companies, including Bellakt in Volkovysk and Grodno Azot. </p> <p> </p> <p> Minsk Oblast - 11 companies, including Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation, Belaruskali, Borisov Plant of Motor and Tractor Electrical Equipment (BATE), BelAZ. </p> <p> </p> <p> The list includes 17 companies based in Mogilev Oblast, in particular, Belarusian Cement Plant, Belshina, Mogilev Elevator Plant, as well as Mogilevkhimvolokno. </p> <p> </p> <p> Minsk City - 20 entities, including Atlant, Belavia, Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant (MZKT), Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ), Minsk Motor Plant, Krinitsa Brewery. </p> <p> </p> <p> Resolution #90 will come into force on 28 February 2021.
