Lukashenko plans gas transportation tariff talks with EEU presidents

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko says he is going to discuss gas transportation tariffs in view of the common energy market launch with the presidents of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states at the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council scheduled for December 11, 2020. He spoke about this at the meeting with Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich on November 30, 2020, the presidential press office reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> “We expected to finally approach the creation of common markets, primarily of natural gas. The only point that we have not agreed on is a fair gas transportation tariff. It is important to us and to the others,” said Lukashenko. </p> <p> </p> <p> He also spoke about the procedure for the import of civil aircraft into the EEU put on the agenda by Kazakhstan. </p> <p> </p> <p> Participants in the EEU summit will address 28 points, including four to be considered by the presidents in a narrow circle. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Eurasian Economic Union has been functioning since January 1, 2015.
