Lukashenko invites Aliyev to expand cooperation in crude oil supplies
<p> MINSK, Apr 14 – PrimePress. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to expand cooperation in the sector of crude oil supplies. This was discussed during the Belarus-Azerbaijan narrow-circle talks with foreign affairs ministers in attendance on April 14, the press service of the Belarusian president said. </p> <p> </p> <p> Lukashenko thanked Aliyev for supporting Belarus with crude oil supplies. SOCAR Trading, the trading subdivision of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), reported that in 2020 it supplied Belarus with 1.038 million tonnes of oil in 10 sea tankers via the Odessa port (Ukraine) and the Odessa-Brody pipeline to the Mozyr Oil Refinery (Gomel Oblast), including 755,000 tonnes of Azeri Light oil and about 283,000 tonnes of oil bought from oil traders. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, SOCAR plans to supply Belarus with around 1 million tonnes of crude under effective contracts. Ukrtransnafta has extended for 2021 the contract with Belarusian Oil Company (BelOil, a designated exporter of Belarusian oil products) to supply Azerbaijani oil to Belarus. Ukrtransnafta CEO Nikolai Gavrilenko noted that the tariff and terms for 2021 correspond to the 2020 contract. End </p>
