Lukashenko allows block-stations outside Minenergo system to supply surplus energy to unified grid

Signed by Alexander Lukashenko on 16 April 2021, Ordinance #153 “On the development of power engineering” authorizes owners of block-stations, which are not part of the system of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus, to deliver surplus energy to the integrated power grid. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The document aims at regulating the relations between the energy supplying organizations of the system of the Ministry of Energy, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, power generating sources (block-stations) and consumers of electricity. Previously, owners of block-stations (housing and utilities companies and industrial enterprises), which were not part of the Ministry of Energy’s system were not able to supply surplus to the unified energy system,” the statement said.
