International Expo Centre to be built in Great Stone Industrial Park

An international exhibition centre is currently under construction in the territory of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, the park's press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> The project will be implemented with the participation of China Merchants Group, a shareholder and a Great Stone resident. </p> <p> </p> <p> The design of the exhibition centre project provides for creating a multifunctional facility. It will combine the facilities of the commercial and logistics subpark that have already been constructed by China Merchants Group (represented by the China Merchants Commercial and Logistics Company, CHN-BLR, the resident): a trade exhibition centre, warehouses, a business centre, and a hotel. </p> <p> </p> <p> The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone is located in the vicinity of Minsk Airport on an area of 112.5 square kilometres. A special preferential legal regime for the park is in effect until 2062. The priority areas slated for development in the park include electronics, biomedicine, fine chemistry, machine building and others. The declared investment amount for residents is at least $5 million ($500,000 for a scientific and research project or if the project is implemented during the first three years). Land in the park can be sold into private ownership. Sixty-eight companies from 15 countries are registered as residents of the park, with total declared investments of more than $1.2 billion.
