Inflation in Belarus at 0.1% in July 2021, 5.9% in Jan-Jul
<p> MINSK, Aug 10 - PrimePress. Inflation in Belarus was at 0.1% in July 2021, which adds up to 5.9% in Jan-Jun 2021. Prices rose by 9.8% year on year in July 2021; up 8.9% yoy in Jan-Jul 2021, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus (Belstat) said in a report. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, inflation in Belarus was at 1.1% in January 2021, 1.9% in Feb, 0.7% in Mar, 0.7% in Apr, 06% in May and 0.7% in Jun. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Belstat, food prices decreased by 0.2% month on month in July 2021 and by 5.7% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Food prices increased by 8.9% year on year in July 2021 and by 8.8% year on year in Jan-Jul 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Non-food prices increased by 0.4% month on month in July 2021 and by 5.3% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Non-food prices increased by 8.9% year on year in July 2021 and by 8.8% year on year in Jan-July 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> Prices and tariffs on for-fee services increased by 0.2% month on month in July 2021; up 5.3% compared to the level of Dec 2020. Prices and tariffs on for-fee services increased by 8.9% year on year in July 2021 and by 8.8% year on year in Jan-Jul 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, inflation in Belarus was at 7.4% in 2020, the official forecast being 5%.
