IAEA experts visit Belarusian nuclear power plant 8 Dec
<p> MINSK, Dec 8 - PrimePress. Experts of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) visited the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP, Astravyets, Grodno Oblast) on 8 Dec 2021 as part of a follow-up mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS). </p> <p> </p> <p> The experts visited the Belarusian nuclear power plant while accompanied by employees of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry (Gosatomnadzor). </p> <p> </p> <p> During the brief visit the IAEA experts examined facilities and installations of the nuclear power plant. They visited the control room of the first unit of the nuclear power plant and held an interview with interested parties at premises of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. </p> <p> </p> <p> The primary goal of the IRRS follow-up mission was to review the fulfillment of recommendations and proposals of the IRRS mission that visited Belarus in 2016. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarus is hosting the follow-up mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS) on 5-13 December.
