Gulf businessmen show interest in investing in Belarus cryptocurrency - NAIP
<p> MINSK, Dec 15 - PrimePress. The Gulf business community has shown interest in the topic of investments in cryptocurrencies in Belarus. The first deputy director of the National Agency for Investment and Privatisation (NAIP), Dmitri Berezovsky, made a statement to this effect after an investment summit on 8 December 2021 in Dubai. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The audience was interested in the available timber, land and mineral resources of Belarus, logistics and personnel potential. The UAE and Persian Gulf businesses were also very interested in the opportunities to develop cryptocurrency business in Belarus. More than half of the top managers of the companies that the Agency managed to talk to, would like to start their activities in this direction in Belarus," the NAIP press service reports citing Berezovsky. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to Berezovsky, with regard to cryptocurrency, the projects aimed at cryptocurrency mining look as a promising area for cooperation, especially given the imminent launch of the Belarusian nuclear power plant at full capacity. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to NAIP, more than 150 representatives of foreign medium-sized and large businesses from the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Syria, Brazil, Italy and Zimbabwe attended the summit. </p> <p> </p> <p> In February 2022, NAIP together with its partner EurAsia Gulf, a networking business platform, plans to hold a webinar on business development and attracting investments in cryptocurrency in Belarus.
