Grodno Glass Plant to implement $55m investment project in FEZ Grodnoinvest

Grodno Glass Plant, a resident company of Grodnoinvest Free Economic Zone (FEZ), has started the construction of a new plant at FEZ Grodnoinvest with an investment value of $55 million, the FEZ press service said. </p> <p> </p> <p> The new facility will reportedly feature a furnace with a capacity of up to 220 tonnes of glass per day, designed by Germany’s Horn. The planned commissioning date of the plant is October 2022, and the total cost of the project is about $55m. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Thanks to the state-of-the-art equipment, the enterprise will be able to manufacture glass products of any colour, and it will be possible to change from one colour to another within a few days. The planned production volume will be $22 million a year,” the statement said. </p> <p> </p> <p> Grodno Glass Plants was founded in 1922; in 2012 it was transformed into an open joint-stock company. The state share in the authorized capital is 98.65%. The plant produces green glassware, reinforced and patterned glass, and exclusive glassware. </p> <p> </p> <p> Grodnoinvest FEZ was established in 2002; as of February 3, 2021, its residents are 74 companies with annual output of over $1 billion, operating in wood processing and furniture manufacture, machine building and metalworking, food and light industries and agriculture.
