Govt chooses Lakokraska, Belshina as single-source suppliers in public procurement

The Government of Belarus has designated Lakokraska as supplier of paints, varnishes and similar materials, and Belshina as supplier of tyres and new rubber tubes when making single-source public procurement in 2021-2022, in accordance with government resolution #261 of May 4, 2021, published on the National Legal Portal on May 6. </p> <p> </p> <p> Thus, the government decided to support the companies included in the U.S. sanctions list. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, due to the actions of the Belarusian authorities after the presidential elections in 2020, the U.S. decided to resume sanctions against nine Belarusian petrochemical companies from June 3, 2021, including Belshina and Lakokraska.
