Fundamental decisions to be made shortly to protect Belarus’ domestic market – Lukashenko

The Belarusian leadership will make fundamental decisions in the near future to protect the domestic market, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in his annual address to the nation and the parliament on August 4. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The coronavirus pandemic exhibited the true value of trade rules and obligations. No one gave a damn. All are protecting their producers even to the extent of direct confrontation. There is no access to public procurement and state-sponsored construction. In other words, all countries are tightly controlling these areas.
