Five Belarus tractor models certified for EU market
<p> MINSK, Jan 22 - PrimePress. Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) has received EU certificates of compliance for five tractor models - 952.7, 923.7, 1025.7, 1220.7 and 1221.7 with Caterpillar engines. </p> <p> </p> <p> “We successfully passed certification tests last year. In the near future we will receive the relevant documents,” said MTZ chief designer Andrei Stasilevich. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTZ says 100 Caterpillar engines meeting European Stage-5 environmental requirements are due to arrive at the plant in May 2021. In June, the first batch of tractors will be assembled for delivery to the European market. Serial production is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> MTZ was founded in 1946 and in January 2014 it was transformed into an open joint-stock company with a 100% state stake.
