EEU single gas market treaty may be prepared in 2021 - EEC

The agreement on establishing a single gas market in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia) may be fully prepared in 2021. The agreement is expected to be signed in 2022, said chief of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Miasnikovich, Prime agency reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> In his words, the agreement will address such delicate issues as non-discriminatory approaches, tariffs and pricing, including for gas pumping. The draft will be ready in early 2021. </p> <p> </p> <p> He added that once the draft is completed in 2021, the signing of the agreement could take place in 2022. </p> <p> </p> <p> "[We plan] to complete all the necessary internal procedures and have a common gas market from January 1, 2025," Myasnikovich said.
