EEU sets in motion project on digital technical regulation
MINSK, Jul 16 - PrimePress. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council launches the project on digital technical regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) to digitalize the paperwork on mandatory requirements to products, technical regulations and lists of international and regional technical regulation standards, the EEC reports.<br> <br> “The project initiates a digital transformation of the technical regulation system, including the re-engineering and digitalization of interaction processes of all market entities,” says Gegham Vardanyan, member of the Board (Minister) for Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies at the Eurasian Economic Commission.<br> <br> “We expect the project to become a new driver of development and integration in technical regulation matters, bringing the system to a fundamentally new level. It will speed up go-to-market processes, meeting mandatory requirements, reduce the costs of conformity assessment procedures and the time needed to work out technical regulations of the Union,” says Viktor Nazarenko, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.<br> <br> The project will be executed in three stages in 2021 (start of the work), 2022-2023 (services system) and 2023-2024 (supranational component and commercial services). The project will be financed by the EEC.<br> <br> The project follows the EEU digital agenda guidelines for the period to 2025 approved by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. End<br> <br>
