EEU inflation at 0.9% in November, and 7.7% YTD
<p> MINSK, Dec 17 - PrimePress. Inflation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) reached 0.9% in November 2021 and 7.7% in January-November. This is stated in the express report “On consumer price indices in the Eurasian Economic Union” released by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). </p> <p> </p> <p> Consumer prices increased by 8.7% month on month in November 2021 and by 7% year on year in January-November. </p> <p> </p> <p> In November 2021, inflation in Armenia was 1.7% (6% in January-November), Belarus 0.5% (9%), Kazakhstan 0.7% (7.8%), Kyrgyzstan 1.7% (9.7%) and Russia 1% (7.5%). </p> <p> </p> <p> In November 2021, a higher year-to-date increase in food prices was recorded in Kyrgyzstan (+11%) and Belarus (+10%). The largest increase in prices for non-food products was recorded in Kyrgyzstan (+10%) and Belarus (+9.6%), for paid services - in Belarus (+6.6%) and Kazakhstan (+6%). </p> <p> </p> <p> The Eurasian Economic Union comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
