EEC proposes encouraging establishment of Eurasian transnational companies - Myasnikovich
<p> MINSK, Nov 2 - PrimePress. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) proposes to stimulate the creation of Eurasian transnational companies. This was announced by chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich. </p> <p> </p> <p> He noted that foreign trade with third countries in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) increased by 38.5% year on year in January-August 2021 to $522bn. </p> <p> </p> <p> “However, we believe this is not enough. The volume of the EEU’s foreign trade is still about 2% of the world’s. In this regard, the commission sees the need to create conditions for more active joint entry of Eurasian businesses into foreign markets,” Myasnikovich said in an interview with the Eurasian Union Economic Bulletin. </p> <p> </p> <p> In his words, large-scale projects based on commercial interest should play a major role in the development of the EEU economy. </p> <p> </p> <p> He also said that the EEU had launched an industrialisation map containing more than 180 projects with a total value of $300bn, as well as an agro-industry map with about 70 projects worth about $7bn.
