The document establishes mandatory requirements for trunk pipelines for transportation of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons in designing (including engineering survey), construction (reconstruction), operation (acceptance and commissioning, conservation), utilization (liquidation), and the rules of assessment of their compliance.
The Technical Regulations consider a trunk pipeline as a unified production and technological complex consisting of interconnected facilities and structures and designed for transportation of liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons.
The adoption of the technical regulation will ensure the functioning of gas, oil and oil products transportation systems, as envisaged by the programmes for the formation of common gas, oil and oil products markets in the EEU (approved by decisions of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on 6 December 2018, No 18 and No 23), the press service said in a statement.
