EEC cancels ban on export of individual protective gear
<p> MINSK, May 8 - PrimePress. The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has decided to lift the ban on personal protective equipment export (PPE) from the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) starting May 10, 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> The ban was introduced on Mar 24, 2020 in order to ensure the availability of such items in the member states of the Union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia) amid the COVID-19 pandemic. </p> <p> </p> <p> The industry of EEU member states has managed to increase the production of necessary protective equipment in a short period of time, which made it possible not only to fully supply the domestic market, but also to export PPE to other countries. </p> <p> </p> <p> The list of PPE products includes cotton wool, gauze, bandages, masks, half masks, respirators, respiratory filters, goggles, disinfectants, some clothes and related accessories, gloves.
