EEC approves list of Eurasian transport corridors

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has approved a list of Eurasian transport corridors and routes, the EEC press service reported. </p> <p> </p> <p> The list includes two single-mode rail routes and one multimodal route (combining rail, sea, and road traffic), as well as Eurasian road corridors and routes. </p> <p> </p> <p> The approved list will ensure coordination of transport infrastructure development, become an important component in the preparation of the draft international agreement on permissible weights, axle loads and dimensions of vehicles on the roads included in the list of Eurasian transport corridors, and thus contribute to further formation of a common transport space in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia), the EEC press-service said.
