EEC approves draft Eurasian economic integration plan

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved on November 23, 2020 the draft decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on strategic development of Eurasian economic integration for the period to 2025. It will be submitted to the presidents of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the EEU press office reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> Previously, the EEU presidents generally approved the draft strategy and instructed the EEC to finalize it. After that, 36 new provisions were added to resolve all disagreements. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, in May 2020, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council approved the Eurasian economic integration strategy for the period to 2025. Armenia and Belarus rejected the gas tariff calculation formula. Russian President Vladimir Putin said in this regard that a common gas tariff formula requires greater integration. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Eurasian Economic Union has been functioning since January 1, 2015. It unites Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Belarus presides EEU bodies in 2020. End </p>
