Cigarette makers raise prices by 0.7-8.4% from 1 Sep, prices of some brands reduced 1.2-4.8%
<p> MINSK, Aug 26 - PrimePress. Belarusian cigarette manufacturers will raise the price of some brands of cigarettes by 0.7-8.4% as of 1 Sep 2021. This follows from the information on the maximum retail prices of filter-tip cigarettes stated by the excise tax payers on the website of the Ministry of Taxes and Levies of Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> The prices of most kinds of Pall Mall brand cigarettes is increased by 3.4-3.7% to Br2.8-3.05 ($1.12-$1.2 at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus) per pack, some types of Kent cigarettes - by 2.5-3.4% to Br3-4.05 ($1.2-1.8; $1-$2.5058). </p> <p> </p> <p> The price of some types of Monte Carlo brand cigarettes rose by 3.4-3.7% to Br2.8-3.05 ($1.12-1.22), Winston cigarettes - by 2.5-3.4% to Br3-4.1 ($1.2-1.64), Sobranie cigarettes - by 2.4-2.5% to Br4.05-4.3 ($1.2-1.72). </p> <p> </p> <p> The prices of some kinds of DOVE brand cigarettes are raised by 4-8.4% to Br1.5-1.75 ($0.6-0.7), while other brands are reduced by 1.2-3.1% to Br1.55-1.7 ($0.62-0.68) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> The price of NZ GOLD QS TF brand cigarettes, which should go on sale in September, is set at Br1.5 ($0.6) per pack. </p> <p> </p> <p> The new prices for certain types of cigarettes were announced by manufacturers of tobacco products: GTF Neman, Tabak Invest, Inter Tobacco, and Belarustorg. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, on 1 Aug 2021 Belarus raised prices of some brands of cigarettes by 3.6-21.4%, while the price of some brand cigarettes were cut by 3-7.8%.
