BPC pledges to make every effort to fulfill obligations to partners

Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) will make every effort to fulfill its obligations to its partners, BPC said in commentary following the EU sanctions against Belarus. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, on June 25 the European Union (EU) introduced sanctions against largest sectors of Belarus’ economy. In particular, the EU bans procurement, import or transfer from Belarus oil products and potash fertilizers. The prohibitions shall be without prejudice to the execution of contracts concluded before 25 June 2021 or ancillary contracts necessary for the execution of such contracts. </p> <p> </p> <p> “The document indicates two of the three codes of products that we sell. Every type of product is important for us, regardless of the export volumes, just as parents love their children regardless of age or status. We will continue to work within the existing framework, making every effort to fulfill our obligations to our partners,” BelTA reports citing BPC representatives as saying. </p> <p> </p> <p> Established in 2013, BPC acts as Belarus’ designated export trader of potash fertilizers produced by OAO Belaruskali. </p> <p> </p> <p> BPC shareholders are Belaruskali (Soligorsk, Minsk Oblast), Belarusian Railways and state enterprise Beleximgarant. In 2018, the BPC share in global exports of potash fertilizers amounted to 20.5%. The geography of BPC exports covers 133 countries. End </p> <p> </p>
