Belstat says real disposable individual incomes up 5.4% in H1 2020

Belarusians’ real disposable incomes [adjusted for inflation, minus taxes and duties] grew by 5.4% on the year in Jan-Jun 2020, Belarus’ National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a press release. </p> <p> </p> <p> According to the report, individual incomes rose 10.6% year on year to 43.366 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), which is equivalent to $16.375 billion at the rate of the National Bank of Belarus (NBB). </p> <p> </p> <p> Incomes per capita amounted to Br769.3 ($290.5) in Jan-Jun 2020, up 11.4% year on year. </p> <p> </p> <p> Wages account for 64.3% of individual incomes in Jan-Jun 2020 (64.1% in H1 2019). </p> <p> </p> <p> Social transfers – pensions, allowances and study grants – accounted for 23.5% (23.7%), and incomes from entrepreneurial activities and other income-gaining activities for 7.3% (7.6%), and incomes from property – yield on deposits and dividends – 2.3% (2.3%), other incomes – 2.6% (2.3%). </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belarusians’ real disposable incomes grew 6% on the year in 2019 after an 8% increase in 2018, a 2.4% increase in 2017.
