Belorusneft to expand Malanka charging station network from 457 to 600 in 2021
<p> MINSK, Sep 6 – PrimePress. Belarus’ Belorusneft Production Association intends to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations from 457 up to 600 by late 2021. Belorusneft CEO Alexander Lyakhov made a statement to this effect after delivering a report to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 6 September. </p> <p> </p> <p> 600 charging stations for electric vehicles will fully satisfy the domestic demand and will even slightly exceed it, said Lyakhov. </p> <p> </p> <p> In his words, priority will be given to the construction of fast charging stations with 150 kW capacity, the equipment for which will be manufactured by Vityaz (Vitebsk Oblast). </p> <p> </p> <p> Also in 2021, it is planned to start building two super-fast charging stations with 350 kW capacity. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, the president of Belarus appointed Belorusneft state operator for development of the electric charging network (decree No. 273 of July 10, 2018). The company plans to open 640 stations by 2022. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft was founded in 1966. Being part of Belneftekhim state petrochemical concern, the company specializes in exploration work, oil extraction, gas processing and offers a wide range of seismic exploration operations. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft provides oil extraction service in Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Ecuador, facilitates crude supplies to Belarusian on refineries on a give-and-take basis.
