Belorusneft’s Russian subsidiary Yangpur plans to increase oil production 7.9 times in 2024 up to 1.71m tonnes

The Yangpur oil company, a subsidiary of the state-owned company Belorusneft (Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast), is planning to increase oil production 7.9 times in 2024 in comparison with the 2020 level up to 1.71 million tons, said Belorusneft CEO Alexander Lyakhov. </p> <p> </p> <p> Lyakhov called Yangpur oil company one of the most successful Belarusian businesses abroad. He believes that in three years Yangpur will produce as much oil as they extract from Belarus-based oilfields. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Yangpur reduced oil production by 3.56% year on year in 2020 to 215,000 tonnes. Last year Belorusneft increased oil production in Belarus by 1.2% year on year to 1.710 million tons. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft-Sibiria Ltd, a subsidiary of Belorusneft, purchased Russia’s Yangpur Oil Company (based in Tiumen) in Oct 2013. Yangpur has been performing oil and gas production operations in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in exploration works, oil extraction, gas processing, and offers a wide range of seismic exploration operations. </p> <p> Belorusneft provides oil extraction services in Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Ecuador, facilitates crude supplies to the Belarusian oil refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery, Gomel Oblast, and Naftan OJSC, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast) on a give-and-take basis.
