Belorusneft plans to carry out 3D seismic surveys on 638 sq km area in Narovlya, Khoiniki in 2022
<p> MINSK, Nov 29 - PrimePress. Belarus’ state-owned production association Belorusneft plans to carry out 3D seismic prospecting surveys on an area of about 638 square kilometres in Narovlya and Khoiniki (Gomel Oblast) in 2022, reads a message posted on the neft.by portal. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft will conduct oil prospecting operations in parts of Narovlya and Khoiniki, which belong to the Radomlia subsoil area in the Polessky State Radiation and Ecological Reserve (a vast territory affected by the Chernobyl explosion). </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-October 2021 Belorusneft’s seismic explorers carried out 3D seismic surveys on an area of over 455 square kilometres. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, Belorusneft plans to increase oil production in Belarus by 1.16% to 1.73 million tonnes in 2021. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in September 2021 that Belarus’ own crude oil production could be increased from the current 1.7 million tonnes to 3-3.5 million tonnes per year by developing new fields. </p> <p> </p> <p> Established in 1966, Belorusneft is part of the Belneftekhim Concern. The main activities are oil and gas production, oil services, hydrocarbon processing, industrial science, mechanical engineering, sales of refined oil products and liquefied gas. End </p>
