Belorusneft discovers three oil fields in Belarus in 2020 with 1.45m tonnes of extractable reserves

Belorusneft State Association (Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast) has discovered three oil fields in Belarus in 2020–Gartsevskoye, Beskopylnovoye, Kuzminskoye–with total extractable reserves of over 1.45 million tonnes, neft.by reports. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Gartsevskoye field has the total extractable oil reserves of over 400,000 tonnes. Six wells will be drilled there. The Beskopylnovskoye field’s extractable oil reserves total over 800,000 tonnes. Eight wells are planned. The Kuzminskoye field totals over 250,000 tonnes in extractable reserves. Four wells are planned there. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft is also looking at previously discovered virgin fields and hard-to-recover oil reserves. Belorusneft says that the share of the oil productive capacity in the residual recoverable reserves has increased from 36% to 48% in recent years. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft plans to increase oil output in 2020 by 1.18% year on year to 1.71 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft was founded in 1966.
