Belorusneft cuts electricity output in H1 2021 by 1.2% to 205.914m kWh

Belorusneft (Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast) reduced electricity generation by 1.2% year on year in January-June 2021 to 205.914 million kWh, the company told PrimePress. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft reduced electricity production from renewable energy sources by 5.2% year on year in January-June 2021 to 35.789m kWh. </p> <p> </p> <p> About 75% of the electricity produced by Belorusneft was used for internal consumption, and the rest was supplied to the grid of state-owned Belenergo. </p> <p> </p> <p> Belorusneft has been actively developing own electricity production based on local fuels - associated petroleum gas and solar energy. Due to the development of its own power generation, the Belarusian Gas Processing Plant (BGPP, Rechitsa, Gomel Oblast), which is part of Belorusneft, has become the largest power generating organisation in the country operating on associated petroleum gas and solar energy. The total capacity of Belorusneft’s power plants is 104.2 MW, including photoelectric stations - 59 MW. End </p>
