BelOil’s petrol export to Ukraine up twofold in Jan-Apr 2021 to 87,000 tonnes

The Belarusian Oil Company CJSC (BelOil), which controls exports of Belarus’ petroleum products, increased petrol export to Ukraine by 100% year on year in January-April 2021 to 87,000 tonnes, enkorr portal reports citing data of the A-95 Consulting Group (Ukraine). </p> <p> </p> <p> A-95 attributes the increase in Belarus’ petrol supplies to the low comparative base – there was a twofold decline in petrol supplies from Belarus in Q1 2020 due to crude shortage. </p> <p> </p> <p> In January-April 2021, almost all Ukrainian importers - OKKO, WOG, UPG, AMIC and others - increased their supplies of Belarusian petrol. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ukraine increased petrol imports in Jan-Apr 2021 by 30% year on year to 367,300 tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ukraine increased gasoline import 5.5% year on year in 2020 up to 1.1 million tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, BelOil increased petrol supplies to Ukraine in 2020 by 23.7% year on year to 854,500 tonnes. Belarus’ share in the petrol import into Ukraine increased in 2020 by 9 percentage points on the year to 78%. </p> <p> </p> <p> The increase resulted from new terms of sale of Belarusian petrol to Ukrainian traders in a package with diesel fuel under fixed-term contracts for 2020. Earlier, BelOil determined that the share of petrol in package sales should be at least 40% of the declared diesel fuel purchase volume. </p> <p> </p> <p> The Belarusian Oil Company CJSC was established in May 2007. Belorusneft owns a 52% stake in the company, Naftan OJSC and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC own 24% each. BelOil exports oil products produced by its shareholders, purchases and refines oil at Belarusian refineries. The company has subsidiaries in Poland, Latvia, the UK, Russia and Ukraine. End </p>
