BelOil’s petrol export to Ukraine up 17.4% in Jan-Oct 2020

Belarusian Oil Company (BelOil), which controls exports of Belarus’ petroleum products, increased petrol export to Ukraine by 17.4% year on year in Jan-Oct 2020 to 697,400 tonnes, enkorr portal reports citing data of the A-95 Consulting Group. </p> <p> </p> <p> The increase resulted from new terms of sale of Belarusian petrol to Ukrainian traders in a package with diesel fuel under fixed-term contracts for 2020. </p> <p> </p> <p> Earlier, BelOil determined that the share of petrol in package sales should be at least 40% of the declared diesel fuel purchase volume. </p> <p> </p> <p> BelOil supplied the largest volumes of gasoline to Ukraine in June - 97 thousand tons, in July - 92 thousand tons and in August - 89.4 thousand tons. In the remaining months of 2020 the volume of deliveries was 45-65 thousand tonnes. </p> <p> </p> <p> In general, import supplies of motor gasoline to the Ukrainian market in January-October 2020 increased by 3.2% compared to January-October 2019 to 902.4 thousand tons. </p> <p> </p> <p> As previously reported, in late January, Belarus lifted the ban on petroleum products export, which was imposed due a significant reduction in the supply of Russian oil to the Belarusian refineries (Naftan OJSC, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk Oblast, and Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC, Gomel Oblast). </p> <p> </p> <p> Belarusian Oil Company (BelOil) was established in May 2007. Key shareholders: Belorusneft (Gomel) - 52%, Naftan Oil Refinery and Mozyr NPZ Refinery - 24% each. BelOil exports oil products produced by its shareholders, as well as purchases and processes oil at Belarusian refineries and forwards deliveries.
